Firestone is looking for a dynamic, energetic person who is bursting with people skills to be a part of Lethbridge’s busiest restaurant.

Firestone Restaurant and Bar is looking to hire a Front of House Operations Manager, the right candidate will be available evenings and weekends for a full time position.

Firestone Restaurant and Bar is a polished, casual restaurant & bar utilizing flame-cooking, forno and woodstone ovens. Our restaurant features acclaimed cuisine including steaks, seafood and seasonal features. Our bar is a signature “rum” bar; we have created an extensive list of premium rums used to create our signature rum cocktails.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and understand our passion for our food

  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards

  • Monitor and manage staffing levels including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and managing the team

  • Develop and execute operational action plans for the restaurant

  • Provide coaching and direction to the team to achieve goals

  • Maintain professional behavior while creating a warm, fun and hospitable environment

  • Manage all policies, procedures, standards, specifications

  • Meet restaurant’s P&L and expense goals

  • Manage restaurant’s labor costs along with staff scheduling

  • Manage restaurant’s inventory

  • Prepare and communicate administrative reporting

Who we are looking for

  • 2 years management experience (asset but not required)

  • College or university degree is a strong asset. Hospitality management preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and people skills

  • Ability to manage restaurant operations independently

  • Ability to manage a fast paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously

  • Keen eye for observing operational detail and opportunities for improvement

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Basic computer and software knowledge
