Firestone Restaurant and Bar is looking to hire a Front of House Operations Manager, the right candidate will be available evenings and weekends for a full time position.
Firestone Restaurant and Bar is a polished, casual restaurant & bar utilizing flame-cooking, forno and woodstone ovens. Our restaurant features acclaimed cuisine including steaks, seafood and seasonal features. Our bar is a signature “rum” bar; we have created an extensive list of premium rums used to create our signature rum cocktails.
Responsibilities
Ensure all guests feel welcome and understand our passion for our food
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
Monitor and manage staffing levels including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and managing the team
Develop and execute operational action plans for the restaurant
Provide coaching and direction to the team to achieve goals
Maintain professional behavior while creating a warm, fun and hospitable environment
Manage all policies, procedures, standards, specifications
Meet restaurant’s P&L and expense goals
Manage restaurant’s labor costs along with staff scheduling
Manage restaurant’s inventory
Prepare and communicate administrative reporting
Who we are looking for
2 years management experience (asset but not required)
College or university degree is a strong asset. Hospitality management preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication and people skills
Ability to manage restaurant operations independently
Ability to manage a fast paced environment
Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously
Keen eye for observing operational detail and opportunities for improvement
Strong problem solving skills
Basic computer and software knowledge
